A day nearly 6 years in the making...

It's official Blink 182 is back together! I am so excited right now and have been since I heard the announcement last night at 8:15pm on the Grammys. Blink has been such a major force in my life that I will write a longer blog about them once I get my thoughts all straightened out. So since I am so happy inside I thought I would spread some happiness on:

MAY YOUR DAY BE FILLED WITH

    unicorns and rainbows

    little sleeping kittens

and cupcakes decorated with Mario, because they are just really cool.

You know what else was pretty cool? Radiohead's performance last night:

They got robbed. They deserved the grammy. I actually used them in one of my speeches in school. I did a speech about music downloading and how it doesn't hurt the music industry. Long story short, Radiohead released the album In Rainbows as a download on their site. Fans could download and donate what they felt it was worth. So you could "purchase" it or just download it for free. Critics thought it was crazy for them to do that. I forgot the exact statistics but I know the majority of people paid them for it. And when it was relased in record stores the album still reached #1. And it was nominated for a Grammy this year. Way to go Radiohead :)

    Through the Looking Glass

I was going to do a long indepth blog about some topic but I'm sick now.  So I'm just going to post some pictures. Serious blog coming soon.
My parents were both sick during Superbowl and I was really paranoid about catching it. Well I caught it. Apparently in our area there are like 5 different stomach viruses going around.

I decorated my composition notebook journal.

It's from the book The Little Prince. I used the original French quote. It's translated as:
"Here is my secret. It's very simple: Only with the heart can you see well. What is essential is invisible to the eyes."

While I did it I had my Zune software running on my computer. Listening to Angels and Airwaves and I look up and Tom Delonge was watching me! Haha

I got the craziest cell-phone charm at the movies the other day.  We saw Tweety Bird. Then we saw Tweety Bird in various food items. There were Tweety Birds in pizza, hamburgers, ice cream, soda. It was weird creepy but funny at the same time. I saw one with a hot dog and I thought it was so hilarious that I had to have the VERY one. And I got it on the first try!

Isn't that slightly unnerving but cute?

    Now for Gia pictures.

She copied her phone to look like mine. Complete with sequins and phone charm.

    Playing with the magnifying glass:

Thanks to Dr. House I learned that another word for yawning while stretching is "pandiculation" I think I spelled it right. Too lazy to Wiki it.

It's taken me forever to find a journal to use. How hard is it to find a college-ruled composition notebook? Very! Went to three stores and all I found were wide-ruled ones. I would fill those up too fast. Plus I'm a little obsessive compulsive about my journals. I only use blue ink and college rule. Yeah I'm a little weird I think.
Finally found one at an office store. Now i'm going to decorate it and start using it. I have a week to catch up on so I'm off to work.

Found a great quote but I don't know who said it:

“Art is not about thinking something up. It is the opposite — getting something down."

That's where I struggle. I always think "I'll write about this and this." Then I put it off and never write it down. I'm really going to work on that.

Maybe I've been rooting for the Bears and Cubs too long but I plan on rooting for the Cardinals. I'm sure the Stealers will win but I love cheering for the underdogs. Everybody have a great time and enjoy the Superbowl! WOOHOO! And if you are going to drink please do so responsibly.

    Birthdays make me shy.

It was my birthday yesterday. I turned 24! I don't feel like it. I think internally I'm like 17. I never really like to make a big deal out of my birthday. I like quiet ones better.
I had a great birthday. First I went to the mall with my friend. I hadn't had a Starbucks in so long that I got a venti (large) one. Besides I need to help stimulate the economy, right?

Then I came home and had a nice homecooked meal with my family. My niece kept running around the house wrapping up random things in newspaper and giving them to me. She wrapped up a bouncy ball and said "Here so you can play with it outside in summer." It was so cute.

Rainbow sprinkle cake has been my favorite since I was a kid.
I was about to relax around 9pm (hey i'm not as young as I used to be) when my phone rang. It was my other friends calling to take me to a movie. So we went around 10 to see Bedtime Stories. It was a really cute movie. I want a stuffed Bugsy. The actress that played the socialite's charater resembeled Kristen Stewart. So through out the movie my friend would go "It is Bella!" then "No it's not, nevermind." "It IS!!" "Nope."
    It wasn't.
They dropped me off then had the brillant idea to through the bucket of popcorn in the air like confetti. They missed for the most part. Then they used the bucket as a snow-scooping device and they didn't miss. So I had to spend some time picking popcorn kernels out of my snow-wet hair.  Thanks guys.
Gerard Way also gave me a present by releasing Umbrella Academy 3 on my b-day :)

So today I spent just relaxing and reading. One good thing about not drinking on your birthday is not having a hangover the next day. Straigh-edge for life.
Oooo also I hung up my Watchmen Rorshach poster I bought yesterday. I've read the book abour 4 times and I'm still not sure how to spell his name, oops. I think it's right though.

The blue pants were a birthday present from Spunky, thanks! Haha the FFTL shirt was a Christmas gift from her too. So basically the whole outfit. My mom didn't like the pants. She said they looked too tight like leggings. I like them though. I need a change from blue jeans.  Yes I took the photo while stand on the toilet, do not judge me. Haha.

Well my friend is coming over for piano lessons. I've been playing for about 14 years but I've never tried to teach someone. But there's a first time for everything. Mainly I play the Beatles so I hope he likes them. Haha. Seriously though, who could hate the Beatles? Speaking of that I NEED to get my Across the Universe back from my brother. I miss it so much *tear*
Got my Wii back from him and my fitness age test is waaaaay down. I went from 26 to 54 ouch!

    Mini roadtrip

Yesterday I drove with a friend to Indiana to see another friend. It's a 3 hour drive. It went pretty fast.  We listened to Punk Goes Crunk. Bands like All Time Low singing rap songs. Priceless. I made him stop half way cause I had to pee really badly. We happened to stop at a Hardee's rest stop. I got excited because Hardee's has Coraline toys. Yes i'm 23 and yes I still like getting the happy meal toys. Haha. I guess Hardee's and Carl Jr's have them but there aren't any near  where I live. So about 2 hours away we found one. I asked for a toy. They said I had to buy the meal. I was going to do that but then I found out they didn't have the right toys yet. I really want this toy:

I guess i'll have to watch ebay.

My friend who lives in Indiana has been offering me a room with her. Yesterday I saw her house for the first time. I love it! She showed me the two rooms I could choose from and they are really nice. I hinted at it to my mom but all she said was "you don't have rent money." Ugh. I'm going to research the college near her. If i could get some loans then I think I could make it work.
Went to eat at Steak and Shake and then went bowling. It was the cutest bowling place I've ever seen.

I finally bowled 100! woohoo. That's been a goal of mine for awhile. The closest before was 99. Yesterday I bowled exactly 100. I was so happy.

    (im the second S)
Then we ate at Sonic and then drove home. I was exhasuted.

Today was just a relaxing day. But this was my breakfast:

Ribs and potatoes. That is why my diet starts tomorrow. I actually gained 6 pounds this weekend.  I don't really care about weight but to me that's a lot to gain in a 3 day period.

I finished my drink from Sonic today. I found my favorite drink finally. A Lemon-Berry limeade. It's super sour but awesome. How cool is it that they put real lemons and strawberries in it!

About Me

  • I am currently taking a break from college to find out where my head is. I have a alot to figure out. I always try to keep a regular journal going but I always seem to fall behind. Let's see how long this one can last. I'm overly critical of myself, I'm emetophobic, I'm not set on a religion just yet. I like buddhism but I'm Baptist as well. I like miso soup and Starbucks. I like comics but contrary to to what some people believe, I am also capable of reading novels too. I dislike judgemental and closeminded people. I like Stephen King and Neil Gaiman. And I love Blink 182, My Chemical Romance, Paramore, Oasis, Motion City Soundtrack, From First to Last, Bright Eyes... many many more. I guess that'll do.
